flux

All images shown here were taken at Vernon Public Art Gallery in 2020, by Yuri Akuney at Digital Perfections.

Flux is a series of large format silk panels which form a continuous image; screen-prints of collage created from imagery taken along Alberta’s river systems. Images flow from the Bow in Calgary back into the headwaters at the Bow Glacier, from the Columbia Icefeilds and the Saskatchewan Glacier back downstream into Edmonton across numerous panels, accompanied by field recordings taken at the same locations as the images.

A 3D view is available on facebook.

This project was generously supported and made possible by a grant for Visual Arts and New Media Individual Project Funding from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.
