Blue, now open July 28-Sept 14 2025 August 5, 2025

Work is now up at McMullen Gallery, at the University of Alberta Hospital. Blue encompasses several areas of exploring glacial ice over the last few years; exploring frozen lakes, glaciers in winter, and visiting melting glacial landscapes over summer in Alberta. The north Saskatchewan river is also present – as a glacially fed river, we too take in the blue and greens of water and ice within the Edmonton area, and all along the river itself.

The opening reception is August 7th, from 7-9pm. See more details here.

Installed are smaller works on paper, and more immersive fabric work. View the ice falls of the Athabasca glacier and feel as though you walk along the glaciers surface; see a near life size ice moraine below the glaciers surface, and see glacier and river imagery flow across the floor from above, with river ice floes. While wandering through the space, listen to the ice creak, and the water pouring across the landscape, field recordings from where various images were taken.
