About

Kelsey (she/her) is a settler-descended Canadian artist based in Edmonton (Amiskwacîwâskahikan). Her recent work focuses on the changes imposed on landscape through human agency, via use of installation and multimedia practices; much of her recent work focuses on ice, water, and glacier interactions within Alberta and beyond.

Kelsey holds a Master’s in Fine Art from the University of Tennessee in Printmaking (2016), as well as a Bachelors of Design from the University of Alberta (2011). She has shown work in Edmonton, and across western Canada as well as internationally in both solo and group exhibtions. Her work has appeared in juried print shows in many places, including Bulgaria, China, Columbia, Cuba, England, Egypt, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, and the United States.

Kelsey has previously taught courses in printmaking at the Alberta University of the Arts in Calgary. During 2019, she began teaching at the University of Alberta within the printmaking and foundations areas, where she continues to work as an Assistant Lecturer. She remains very involved in the Society of Northern Alberta Print-Artists (SNAP), an artist-run not for profit studio and gallery as a longtime volunteer and working studio artist. Kelsey is currently President on the SNAP board.
