Project: shift[ing], floe, and passages

Two of these artist books share a similar large format, looking at some of the images taken in St. Johns, Newfoundland, and images taken in the Drumheller badlands, as well as images that have been manipulated and changed for each. The large print size allows for small details and a sense of the scale of the landscape to come through. Both books are printed on thin washi paper which has been assembled in an accordion style layout, then glued for a perfect bound look, with each book closed measuring 12x16x.25 inches. The translucency of the paper allows images to blend together and overlap as pages are turned.

Passages was created alongside work from my divining and erosion projects, using a similar format and a long accordion to create a continuous field of colour.
